NTPC’s step-down subsidiary, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), which operates under NTPC Green Energy Limited, has successfully declared the commercial operation (COD) of another 6 MW of wind power capacity. This latest addition is part of the 150 MW Dayapar Wind Energy Project (Phase-I) located in Dayapar, Bhuj, Gujarat. π¬οΈ
This 6 MW marks the third part of the Phase-I project to go live. For those keeping track, NTPC REL had already commissioned the first 50 MW back on November 4, 2023, followed by another 90 MW on April 9, 2025. With this latest 6 MW coming online as of July 31, 2025, the entire 150 MW Phase-I of the Dayapar project is now fully operational! π
This project is a key component of NTPC REL’s larger 450 MW Hybrid Project, showcasing the company’s strategic push into diversified renewable energy sources.
