Shimla, India – June 30, 2025 – SJVN Limited (NSE: SJVN) today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), has achieved commercial operation for a 100.25 MW part capacity of its ambitious 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project. The commercial operation date (COD) for this segment was effective June 30, 2025.
This latest commissioning brings the total operational capacity of the Bikaner Solar Power Project to 501.02 MW out of its planned 1000 MW. The company stated that the remaining capacity of the project is expected to be commissioned soon.
The announcement, made after market hours, also served as a revised disclosure to correct a typographical error identified in a prior submission regarding the project’s COD. The company emphasized its commitment to transparency and accuracy in its regulatory filings.
SJVN Limited, a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh, continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio, contributing significantly to India’s green energy targets. The Bikaner Solar Power Project is a key component of this expansion.
At the time of the announcement, SJVN shares were trading at ₹100.22, reflecting a marginal decrease of 0.3%.
