NTPC Green Energy Limited (NTPCGREEN) announced the declaration of commercial operation for a 64.7 MW portion of its Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat, effective June 30, 2025. The company’s stock was trading at ₹106.5, up 1.7%, when the announcement was made. This latest commissioning contributes to the company’s expanding renewable energy portfolio. The announcement was made outside market hours.
The 64.7 MW capacity, part of the larger 1255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project, commenced commercial operation at 00:00 Hrs on June 30, 2025. The project is being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, under the CPSU scheme Phase-II Tranche-III.
This is the third phase of commissioning for the Khavda-I project. Previously, the first part capacity of 110.25 MW was declared commercially operational on June 6, 2025, followed by the second part capacity of 146.7 MW on June 28, 2025. The phased commissioning underscores NTPC Green Energy’s strategic approach to bringing large-scale renewable assets online.
