NTPC Completes 220 MW Shajapur Solar Project Unit-II with Final 120 MW Commissioning

NTPC Limited (NSE: NTPC) today announced the full commercial operation of the 220 MW Shajapur Solar Project (Unit-II) in Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh. The final 120 MW capacity of the project was declared commercially operational effective 00:00 Hrs on June 29, 2025.

The commissioning of this 120 MW segment marks the completion of the entire 220 MW Unit-II of the Shajapur Solar Project. The project is owned by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), which itself is a step-down subsidiary of NTPC Limited.

This declaration of Commercial Operation (COD) is in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

At the time of this announcement, shares of NTPC were trading at ₹334.8, reflecting a 1.0% decrease.
