Kolkata, June 25, 2025 – Western Carriers (India) Limited (WCIL), a prominent logistics solutions provider, today announced it has secured a significant work order from Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL), one of India’s leading stainless steel manufacturers. The contract is valued at approximately Rs 558 crore.
The work order entails the dispatch of Slab, Coil, and Sheet Plate in DSO (Dedicated Service Operations) Containers to various locations across PAN India. This strategic partnership is set for a period of three years, reinforcing Western Carriers’ position in the domestic logistics sector.
According to the company’s filing with the exchanges, the order was awarded by a domestic entity, Jindal Stainless Limited, and does not involve any related party transactions or interest from the promoter or promoter group in the awarding entity.
The announcement was made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, read along with SEBI circular dated July 13, 2023.
Following the announcement, shares of Western Carriers (India) Limited (WCIL) were trading at Rs 119.08, reflecting a decrease of 2.4%.
