Mumbai, India – JSW Energy Limited (NSE: JSWENERGY), a leading private sector power producer, announced on June 25, 2025, that its step-down subsidiary, Energizent Power Private Limited, has signed a significant Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NHPC Limited for 300 MW of Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected solar-wind hybrid capacity. The announcement comes as JSW Energy’s stock traded at ₹525.35, up 0.6%.
The PPA, a crucial step in JSW Energy’s renewable energy expansion, is for a period of 25 years with a tariff set at ₹3.49 per KWh. The project, which will be located across Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh, is expected to be commissioned within the next 24 months.
This agreement underscores JSW Energy’s commitment to expanding its green energy footprint. The company currently boasts a total locked-in generation capacity of 29.9 GW, comprising 12.5 GW operational, 12.8 GW under construction across various sources including wind, thermal, and hydro, and a pipeline of 4.6 GW. Furthermore, JSW Energy has a substantial energy storage capacity of 29.3 GWh, including hydro pumped storage projects and battery energy storage systems.
The PPA aligns with JSW Energy’s ambitious targets to achieve 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by fiscal year 2030, as well as its long-term goal of achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2050.
