EMS Limited Secures Rs 781.98 Crore Kolkata River Rejuvenation Project

EMS Limited (NSE: EMSLIMITED) has secured a substantial contract from The Kolkata Municipal Corporation for comprehensive pollution abatement and rejuvenation work on the River Adi Ganga in Kolkata, West Bengal.

The company announced on June 24, 2025, that it received the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) for the project, which is valued at approximately Rs 78197.91 Lakhs, equivalent to Rs 781.98 crore. EMS Limited will undertake this significant project as part of a joint venture, holding a 74% share in the total contract value.

The scope of work for the domestic entity includes a Design & Build period of 36 months, followed by an extensive Operation & Maintenance period of 15 years. This project aims to address pollution and restore the ecological health of the historic River Adi Ganga.

This LOA follows EMS Limited’s earlier intimation on September 19, 2024, when it had achieved the lowest bidder (L1) status for the tender.

At the time of this announcement, shares of EMS Limited were trading at Rs 618.5, reflecting a marginal decrease of 0.7%.
