Hitachi Energy India: New Chairman, Board Shake-Up! 🚀

Big news from Hitachi Energy India Limited! The company recently announced some significant changes to its leadership team and board structure, effective August 20, 2025.

First up, there’s a new face at the helm! Mr. Ismo Antero Haka (DIN: 08598862) has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board and the Company. He’s stepping into the shoes of Mr. Achim Michael Braun (DIN: 08596097), who has resigned from his position as Non-Executive Non-Independent Director and Chairman due to other professional commitments. Mr. Haka will also continue in his current role as a Non-Executive and Non-Independent Director.

But that’s not all! The Board has also approved the appointment of Mr. Jan Niklas Persson (DIN: 11239092) as an Additional Director. He’ll be joining as a Non-Executive and Non-Independent Director, and this appointment is set to be approved by the shareholders through a postal ballot. So, who is Mr. Persson? He’s an Executive Vice President at Hitachi Energy’s Grid Integration Business Unit, bringing a wealth of experience in critical areas like HVDC, grid connections, power quality solutions, and smart charging infrastructure. His expertise is definitely a big win for the company as it navigates the global energy transition! 💡

Naturally, with these leadership changes, the company’s various committees are also getting a fresh look. Several committees, including Audit, Nomination & Remuneration, Stakeholders’ Relationship, Risk Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Committees, have been reconstituted to reflect the new board composition. This ensures that the company’s governance structure remains robust and aligned with its strategic direction.
