Big news from the healthcare sector! 🏥 Max Healthcare Institute Limited (MAXHEALTH) is gearing up for a significant expansion, announcing plans to add a brand-new ~130-bedded hospital in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
This strategic move comes as the company’s existing facilities are operating at high utilization, with their current Dehradun hospital already seeing over 80% occupancy in Q1 FY26. It’s clear there’s a strong demand for quality healthcare services in the region, and Max Healthcare is stepping up to meet it.
The new facility, expected to be commissioned by 2028, will be a built-to-suit hospital developed by Goyal Agrim Infra Realty LLP under a long-term lease agreement. Max Healthcare will be responsible for equipping the hospital with state-of-the-art bio-medical equipment, furniture, and other necessary infrastructure, with an estimated investment ranging from ₹170 Crore to ₹200 Crore, primarily funded through internal accruals.
What’s particularly exciting is the hospital’s focus: it will primarily offer advanced oncology services, including radiation therapy. This specialization will be a crucial addition to Dehradun, a thriving city with a growing middle class that’s increasingly seeking high-quality medical care.
This expansion not only strengthens Max Healthcare’s presence in Uttarakhand but also underscores its commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility and specialized services in key regions. It’s a positive step towards addressing the evolving healthcare needs of the community! ✨
