Big news from the rail sector! HBL Engineering Limited (HBLENGINE) has just announced a significant win, bagging a substantial contract worth Rs 54.12 Crores (inclusive of GST) from the West Central Railway.
This isn’t just any contract; it’s for the implementation of the KAVACH system. For those unfamiliar, KAVACH is India’s indigenous Automatic Train Protection (ATP) system, designed to enhance rail safety by preventing collisions and ensuring trains adhere to speed limits. Think of it as a crucial guardian for our railway network! π‘οΈ
Under this contract, HBL Engineering will be responsible for the survey, design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of trackside KAVACH equipment. This includes setting up systems at 18 stations and various LC (Level Crossing) Gates across 166 kilometers of track. Specifically, the work will cover the Kota-Ruthiyayi section and the Sogaria-Kota ‘C’ Section of the Kota division. The project is slated for completion within 700 days.
This new order adds a solid boost to HBL Engineering’s already impressive order book, which stood at Rs 4,083.17 Crores as of November 2024. Securing such a vital project underscores the company’s expertise in critical railway infrastructure and its role in modernizing India’s vast rail network.
It’s a clear sign of continued investment in making our railways safer and more efficient. Keep an eye on HBL Engineering as they continue to contribute to India’s infrastructure growth! π
