Big news from Power & Instrumentation (Gujarat) Limited (PIGL)! The company has just announced a significant work order win, valued at a whopping ₹70,54,99,997/- (that’s approximately ₹70.55 Crores, including GST). This substantial contract comes from M/s Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (AVVNL). 🚀
So, what’s the project all about? PIGL will be responsible for the supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of materials and equipment. The core objective is to develop crucial Distribution Infrastructure for on-grid electrification. This means bringing electricity to un-electrified households and public institutions in tribal villages across nine circles in Rajasthan, including Ajmer, Banswara, Bhilwara, Chhitorgarh, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Salumbar, Sikar, and Udaipur. 💡
This vital work falls under the ‘Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyana (DA-JGUA)’ and is part of the broader Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). The RDSS is a government-backed initiative aimed at improving the operational efficiencies and financial sustainability of power distribution companies, ultimately benefiting consumers through better infrastructure and reliable power supply. PIGL’s role here is on a turnkey basis, meaning they’ll handle the entire project from start to finish, and it’s expected to be completed within 12 months.
This domestic order not only adds a significant boost to PIGL’s order book but also highlights its crucial role in India’s ongoing efforts to achieve universal electricity access and strengthen rural infrastructure. It’s a win-win, contributing to both the company’s growth and national development goals! ✨
